וַיִּקְבֹּ֤ץ עָלָיו֙ אֲנָשִׁ֔ים וַיְהִ֣י שַׂר־גְּד֔וּד בַּהֲרֹ֥ג דָּוִ֖ד אֹתָ֑ם וַיֵּלְכ֤וּ דַמֶּ֙שֶׂק֙ וַיֵּ֣שְׁבוּ בָ֔הּ וַֽיִּמְלְכ֖וּ בְּדַמָּֽשֶׂק׃
און ער האָט אױפֿגעקליבן אַרום זיך מענטשן, און ער איז געװאָרן דער הױפּטמאַן פֿון אַ באַנדע, בעת דוד האָט געהרגעט די [מענטשן פֿון צוֹבֿה]. און זײ זײַנען אַװעקגעגאַנגען קײן דמשׂק, און האָבן זיך אין איר באַזעצט, און האָבן געקיניגט אין דמשׂק.

Afterwords Dovid struck the Pelishtim and humbled them. Dovid took Meseg Hoamoh from the hand of the Pelishtim.

He struck Moav and he measured them with a rope. He had them lie down on the ground, those measured with two ropes were killed and those with the fullness of one rope were allowed to live. Moav became Dovid's slaves, bearers of a [yearly] present [for Dovid].

Dovid struck Haddadezer, the son of Rechov the king of Tsovoh, as he went to enlarge his border at the P'ras river.
